The name Malvasia is geographical and indicates the Byzantine city of Monemvasia in the time of the Franks. Malvasia began to be produced before the 13th century in Byzantine Monemvasia, gaining enormous fame in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and a unique history that lasts to this day.

Moraitis Winery – A unique tasting experience
An outstanding tour to the oldest winery of Paros. Wander the underground cellars and the organic vineyards that will introduce you to the process of winemaking in the most historic winery of Paros. After the tour, guests will enjoy in the underground cellars a private tasting with 4 premium (current versions) and 1 library wine (old harvest). The wine tasting will be accompanied by Cycladic varieties of cheeses and cold cuts.

Wine tasting & tour:
As part of the wine tour & tasting, a walk in the vineyards is included with explanations about the varieties and how to grow the vine.
Then, we visit the place where the winemaking process is explained, having visual contact with the machines, tanks, and barrels.
Finally, we end up in the room where 5 varieties of wine from the Parian vineyards are tasted.
At the same time, we watch videos with snapshots from the vintage and the vinification process.
The duration of the guided tour is 1 hour.
Beer tasting in Paros
The blonde beer 56 isles were born in Paros and took its name from the 56 islands of the Cyclades.
56 isles is a light beer with rich foam, fermented with the taste of Parian barley and the energy of the island.
The barley grown in Paros gives a unique taste to this beer due to the microclimate of the place. Its mixed taste and the quality of its raw materials, give to the 56 isles beer a special taste character sculpted by the sea and the sun.

- Entrance fee to the winery Moraitis: 60€ person (private tasting of 4 premium current releases and 1 library wine (old vintage). The wine tasting will be accompanied by artisanal Cycladic cheese & charcuterie platters.
